The Bear offers the most unique and affordable outdoor event venue in Central and Northern Maine. A hidden, woodland, gem located in the heart of the Maine Highlands. Our property is a little over an hour from Bangor and 25 minutes off the interstate and is ideal for your intimate party, large reunion, weekend wedding celebration or anything in between!

Our most popular wedding package is our weekend package that includes use of our beautiful 40×60 outdoor pavilion along with accommodations that include 5 RV/tent sites, unlimited tenting and beautiful, modern cabins that offer full amenities and accommodations for 16 to 25 people (*depends on # of cabin availability of your chosen dates) . Our weekend package runs from Friday 2pm thru Sunday 11am – after all your wedding is a special moment in your life and deserves more than just a few hours – so make the moment last and celebrate with your family and friends over a full weekend.

Spend Friday morning and afternoon decorating with friends & families. Be inspired! Our warm rustic backdrop can be dressed up or down to suit your style. Consider us a blank slate enabling you to create your own unique and custom day!

Extend your rehearsal dinner to include yard games, corn hole tournaments or even better sit by a bonfire catching up and reminiscing with those you hold dear beneath the stars.

Nestled in the woods, the bride and bridesmaids can sleep in one cabin, the groom and groomsman in another – both enjoying laughs, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Wake up , use the grills or a cabin kitchen and hang out having breakfast together and casually get prepared surrounded by your family & friends, for the main event— Your Wedding!

Midweek Micro Wedding

Weekend Package runs Friday 2pm to Sunday 11am

2026 rate $6,500

AMENITIES INCLUDED in The Weekend Package

40X60 outdoor, open pavilion with capability to seat up to 140 comfortably (including wedding party) and still have room for dancing. Our Pavilion has electric & lights, along with adjoining covered, lighted serving area. The 6ft overhang roofing and lawn area provides additional seating space.
A prep kitchen is available in the barn close to Pavilion for your convenience
Utilize your own caterer or have an old fashioned family pot luck
BYOB is allowed – if serving alcohol we require utilizing a licensed, & insured alcohol service.

(8)Picnic table seating for 140
200 solid white resin folding chairs for ceremony and reception
Adjoining lawn area and pergola for your ceremony and space for lawn games.
Group fire pit with chairs (wood not included)

4 beautiful Cabins providing overnight accommodations for up to 25 people. All cabins have full amenities including electric, heat/air, and full bathroom (see cabin amenity sheet for details) –perfect for day of bridal suite, groomsman space, & accommodations for bride & groom on wedding night, not to mention providing the perfect atmosphere for a local weekend destination wedding for your family & wedding party.
5 RV sites have water & electric—Dump station on site

Parking in upper field, staff on site to help with parking

Required:

a rental agreement signed with a $1,000 non refundable date retainer fee to reserve and hold your weekend date (is applied to your balance)
A refundable $500 security deposit and proof of purchase of Host Event Liability Insurance is required 30 days prior to event date

Our Weekday Package

runs either Monday 2pm to Wednesday 11am or Tuesday 2pm to Thursday 11am

includes everything that is included in the weekend package at a $2,000 discount

Required:

A rental agreement signed with a $800 non refundable date retainer fee will be required to reserve and hold your Weekday dates (applied to your balance)
A refundable $500 security deposit and proof of purchase of Host Event Liability Insurance is required 30 days prior to event date.

Micro mid-week Day Wedding

(M-Th) weddings/events: For $2,500

Amenities for a Micro Mid-Week Day Event includes:

6 hours between the hours of 10am and 9pm . for a ceremony and reception for up to 25 guests (this # includes bridal party).
The 6 hours includes time for setting up, ceremony, intimate reception for your 25 guests and clean up.
Private Use of Pavilion, Pavilion lawn, Pergola, Bathhouse (may be shared with other guests) and use of prep kitchen.
Use of tables and chairs with linens
use of 1 cabin to get ready in (which one depends on availability)

*It does not include overnight accommodations

Required:

A rental agreement signed with a $500 non refundable date retainer fee will be required to reserve and hold your Micro WeddingWeekday date (applied to your balance)
A refundable $500 security deposit and proof of purchase of Host Event Liability Insurance is required 30 days prior to event date.
